Mino Rimada (Belarmino Rimada) is a film director and cinematographer born in June 12 of 1978. Son of Graciela Sanchez and Belarmino F. Rimada, a psychologist internationally known for his published works about Vocational Guidance.
It was in high school when Mino Rimada started to produce videos, then in 1997, after spending six months in the UK, the idea of becoming a filmmaker arrived. Film School was not an option at that time so he went back to his natal town and started a career in Communication Studies where he made his first short film.
Far from a Film Industry environment to grow, he began to produce industrial videos and commercials in order to buy his own gear and finance his own productions. Mino believed that growing far from the film Industry could also shape his voice as a filmmaker. The desert, the sun of his town and the hundreds of industrial and commercial videos for national and International customers took him into a journey to know the world in a different way.
In 2011 he founded Alcayata Films, an independent film production Company where he has been the Writer, Producer, Director, Cinematographer and Editor of short films, films and music videos.
In 2017 and 2018 he shoots his first movie as a cinematographer in Cambodia.
His last works include an independent Sci-Fi series called "The Water Alchemist" and "Road to Mala Noche", a short film nominated for Best Short Film and awarded as Best Director in the ShortsTV Channel World Wide Film Festival 2021.
Mino Rimada writes under the pen name of "Max Dallak", he also signs his work as an editor under his great grandmother's name, "Susan Dallak".
