"Paranoid: a Chant" is a poem written by Stephen King and first published in his 1985 collection Skeleton Crew.
The poem is a first-person narrative from the diary of a paranoid schizophrenic. In the short story "The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet," also included in Skeleton Crew, author Reg Thorpe sends his editor, the story's narrator, a "paranoid chant," which includes many similar images to those in this poem.
