A pressor field was a type of force field that staunched the flow of blood.
In 2371, while operating on Bareil Antos, Doctor Julian Bashir ordered a nurse to put a pressor field on one of his arteries. As his arterial disruption had reached a critical level, the field was insufficient to stop his hemorrhaging. Upon hearing that, Bashir ordered the nurse to clamp his artery instead.
