Reggae Song? It is NOT a reggae song!Manormadman (talk) 22:07, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It has a reggae beat and Bowie called it his 'Turkish reggae song'. Source: http://www.pennyblackmusic.co.uk/MagSitePages/Article.aspx?id=5209 Vauxhall1964 (talk) 22:25, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think Yassassin is not a Reggae Song. Bowie called it a "Turkish Reggae" song in the interview and I clicked reference on and read it. But, even Bowie saying it does not make it a Reggae song. There should be some clarification noted that Bowie "thought of it as a Reggae song." I do not hear anything Reggae like in the beat, and the song is not music that originated in Jamaica, nor is the topic any of the topics normally associated with Reggae. Bowie also called Young Americans Plastic Soul, but that does not make the album Young Americans a Soul album. When people read this is just looks like a mistake. I am not going to correct it. I just want my objections noted. Ty78ejui (talk) 00:08, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
