Nothing says the holidays are here like a child being forgotten by their family before aggressively pranking and assaulting adults for the sake of defending themselves and their home. That’s why we’re making it our mission to ensure that you have seen Home Alone this Christmas season, and that you know where to watch it, along with the other films in its franchise. From Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McCallister to Archie Yates’s Max Mercer, movie parents have been leaving their precocious boys home alone for over 30 years, and we just can’t get enough of it.

Here’s everything you need to know about streaming all six titles in the Home Alone movie collection:

How many Home Alone movies are there?

In total, six films make up the Home Alone movie collection, beginning with the original Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern-led comedy in 1990. From there came the successful 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York before the original cast said goodbye and a whole new little guy (Alex D. Linz) could have the honor of being left on his own to singlehandedly take down potentially dangerous criminals in the 1997 installment, Home Alone 3.

The next three Home Alone films continued this theme of swapping out kids to be home alone (it can only happen to one kid so many times after all, right?), with Mike Weinberg-led 2002 made-for-TV Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House followed by Christian Martyn-led 2012 made-for-TV Home Alone: The Holiday Heist, and most recently, the Yates-led 2021 streaming-only release of Home Sweet Home Alone.
