‘World’s Most Notorious Killers’ Exclusive Clip: Convicted Murderer Christopher Dawson’s Daughter Says A Psychic Helped Her Realize Her Father Killed Her Mom

Peacock‘s latest true crime program, World’s Most Notorious Killers, takes viewers all over the world to delve into five of the most noteworthy international murder cases — and DECIDER has an exclusive first look at the haunting new series.

In our clip, we’re introduced to Shanelle, the daughter of convicted murderer Christopher (Chris) Dawson, who sheds light on how she came to believe her father could be guilty of killing her mother Lynette (Lyn) in January 1982, a revelation she said took place “around 2009.”

“What awakened me to the belief was a psychic,” she reveals. “She didn’t know anything about my mom, and I showed her a photo of my mom on her wedding day, and she said, ‘I don’t think your mother’s still alive, and I think it was your dad that murdered her.”

Per The Guardian, Chris was found guilty in 2022, a full 40 years after his wife’s body disappeared from the northern beaches of Sydney, Australia. Her body has still yet to be found. The case returned to the spotlight after being fleshed out on The Teacher’s Pet podcast, and he was charged with murder in 2018.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, New South Wales supreme court Justice Ian Harrison had declared Chris had murdered Lyn “for the selfish and cynical purpose of eliminating the inconvenient obstruction she presented” to pursuing his relationship with his former student and children’s babysitter, JC.

The Herald reported in June of this year that Chris’ May 2024 appeal was rejected by Court of Appeal president Julie Ward and Justices Anthony Payne and Christine Adamson.
