Reese Witherspoon Plays Coy After Teasing A “Hello Sunshine Project Cooking” With A Real Housewife: “I Can’t Say Anything”

As if the Legally Blonde Prime Video prequel series was not exciting enough, Reese Witherspoon may just have another project up her sleeve — one worthy of a bravo!

While speaking with Live From E! co-host Heather McMahan on the red carpet ahead of last night’s 76th Emmy Awards, The Morning Show star conceded that she has “never watched” the Real Housewives, but had a recent run-in with a star from the reality TV franchise.

“I did sit next to a Real Housewife on a flight recently,” she revealed.

While she refrained from identifying who exactly she was seated next to, she indicated that there may be a possible collaboration in the works.

“Well, we might have a Hello Sunshine project cooking now,” she teased, referring to her production company. “But I can’t say anything. But it was cool. It was really cool.”

Both Witherspoon and her Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, which ended up going to Shōgun star Anna Sawai at the Sunday night ceremony. Billy Crudup, who plays Cory Ellison in the Apple TV+ drama, took home an Emmy at last night’s awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

The Morning Show was renewed for Season 4 in April 2023, months prior to Season 3 being released in the fall of that year.

As if Witherspoon did not have enough on the docket, she also offered an update on Big Little Lies Season 3. While chatting with Extra alongside her co-star Laura Dern, she noted that they are “working on” the new installment.

“It’s going to be so incredible,” she added. “We just have to write all the scripts.”
