This week’s new movies on VOD include the remake of The Crow, starring Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs, the biopic Winner, and Subservience, a new film starring Megan Fox about the pitfalls of AI and the struggle to find good help.
In Subservience, Fox stars as Alice, an android purchased to help a struggling father (Michele Morrone) care for his home and kids while his wife is ill. But Megan goes all M3GAN and, well, you don’t need me to tell you what happens when the robots become sentient.

The Crow (2024)
Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Crow stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric, a musician who was murdered with his fiancée Shelly (FKA Twigs). A year after their deaths, the a crow on his grave resurrects Eric, who seeks to avenge his and Shelly’s murders. (You don’t need me to tell you that the film is a remake of the 1994 gothic cult-classic starring Brandon Lee, who was killed during its filming.)
Winner (2024)
Winner – a biopic starring Emilia Jones as NSA whistleblower Reality Winner, is the second such movie to come out in the past year. (The first was Reality starring Sidney Sweeney in the title role.) You don’t need me to tell you which of these films to watch, so hey, why not check out both? Winner, which co-stars Kathryn Newton, Connie Britton and Zach Galifianakis, arrives on VOD on Friday.
