So, where can you watch The Forge? Is it on Netflix? What about Max?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH THE FORGE:

As of now, the only way that you can watch The Forge is to go to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, August 23. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you will just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Netflix. Read on for more information.

WILL THE FORGE BE ON NETFLIX?

The Forge will likely be on Netflix because of a deal inked between the streaming platform and Sony Pictures Releasing that gives the streamer rights to all the company’s theatrical films starting in 2022.

While a streaming release date for The Forge has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate on the date based on another recent Sony film. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was released in theaters on March 22, 2024, before coming to Netflix on July 22, 2024 — around four months after it debuted. If The Forge follows the same pattern, we could be watching the film from the comfort of our homes by late December 2024.

WILL THE FORGE BE ON HBO MAX?

No, The Forge will not be on Max — previously known as HBO Max — since it’s not a Warner Bros. Discovery movie. At least not anytime in the near future.
