What Happens In Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2? Cast And Creator Darren Star Weigh In

Curious where Emily and company are headed in Season 4, Part 2? Physically, we know they’re going on a Roman Holiday, but story wise? The show still has lots to tackle. We left off with a ludicrous lube dilemma, a dying Michelin star, and a major pregnancy reveal — all of which will likely be explored further in Season 4, Part 2, along with relationships and (fingers crossed) Eurovision! But when asked to tease the second half of the season here’s what creator Darren Star and the Emily in Paris cast had to say during Zoom interviews with Decider.

“To me, Part 2 is Part 1 on steroids in every way. Drama. Locations. Romance. Everything,” Star said.

“There’s definitely more drama to come,” Lily Collins shared. “The season ahead is definitely vulnerable. And I would say that Emily kicks into high vacay mode and she puts her phone down a little bit more on holiday.”

Perhaps echoing Collins’ vulnerability tease, Ashley Park said, “You’re gonna see parts of Mindy that you have not seen before.” And Lucien Laviscount said his character Alfie will be “Owning the road to recovery.” Post-breakup with Emily, Alfie stans wondered if this was the end of Laviscount’s time on the show, but he and Collins confirmed he’ll be back for more in Part 2.

“I definitely don’t think you’ve seen the last of Alfie,” Laviscount said. “I think that choices are made in the heat of the moment, whatever that might be. But I think for Alfie, it’s the first time he’s really gone into depth with how he actually really feels, and it might just be a little bit too late in this instance. But the respect he has for Emily and their friendship, I think, will blossom. And who knows what’s going to happen next, really?”

“We haven’t seen the last of Alfie. Look, Emily works with him. He’s such a stand up, wonderful human and such a great guy, and I think Emily really respects and values him, and he’s such an amazing addition to our show,” Collins said. “And so I think even if the relationship evolves, it doesn’t mean that it’s completely over. So I’m excited for people to see how that’s handled, and I think it’s done very well and very respectfully.”

Though Emily in Italy spoilers have been scarce, when asked to sum up the rest of Season 4, Bruno Gouery (Luc), teased, ” There is a word, bellezza. It means beauty in Italian.” We can only assume he’s talking about this Part 2 fit.
