Andy Cohen Jokingly Shoots Down Fan’s Dreams Of Meeting John Mayer: “You’re Never Gonna Meet Him”

Most people call Andy Cohen‘s Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live with Bravo-related questions and parenting advice — but on this morning’s episode, one fan wanted the beloved host to hook her up with some John Mayer meet-and-greets. What she probably didn’t expect was for Cohen to playfully shoot down her dreams.

The fan, whose name was Nicole, explained that she had won tickets to meet Mayer after a “private concert” when she was 15. But when she called the radio station back to claim her tickets, they said they had no record of her.

“I guess I’m just calling maybe to put this into the ether — and hope that John hears this and we can make something happen and I can meet him one day,” Nicole said.

“My mom always took me to his concerts when I was younger. She always joked that I almost got her arrested trying to meet him by waiting out by his tour bus,” she continued. “I would love to surprise her. She does everything for everyone.”

Cohen, for his part, thought the story was going to have a happier ending.

“Well, I can guarantee you this: he’s not listening right now and you’re never gonna meet him,” he said, prompting an awkward pause before finally adding, “I’m just kidding.”

The Bravo icon clarified, “He’s not listening now and, you know, I feel like you’re gonna meet him one day. What can I say? I think it’s gonna happen for you, Nicole.”

Cohen made up for his flat joke by promising to give Nicole tickets to Watch What Happens Live the next time Mayer is on as a guest.

“Next time you see that he’s coming on Watch What Happens Live, call and I promise you a ticket,” he said. “And then when you call, we’re gonna be like, ‘We have no record of you.’ Like that radio station. I’m just kidding, I’m just kidding.”
