It looks like Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga did not appreciate the comments Kathy Wakile recently made on Watch What Happens Live when Andy Cohen asked about her recent move to Gorga’s neighborhood

Wakile confirmed she was building a house on the same street Gorga lives on, joking that it was called “Melissa’s Way” because “apparently, she owns the street.”

She later noted that it was “convenient” that Gorga wanted to reconcile things with her now that they’re neighbors and RHONJ appears to have hit a hiatus. But Wakile doesn’t seem to be expecting much from the Gorgas, regardless of the fact that she is first cousins with Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga, and his sister, RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice.

“Not to be boastful, but each property is at least an acre to two acres,” she said on WWHL. “You know, so you really don’t see each other.”

While speaking with Joe on their podcast On Display, Melissa said, “I felt like she had a little negative [attitude] when asked about us. She mentioned something like, ‘Well, there’s acres, these houses are on acres, so we probably won’t see them anyway.’ I was a little taken aback… I thought [it would be] very nice and very – in a way of moving forward in some which way.”

Melissa clarified that she tried “extending an olive branch” to Wakile during a recent appearance on Jeff Lewis Live when she pointed out that her former RHONJ co-star was “a good cousin” to Joe.

She added, “It wasn’t like a, ‘Hey, I want you on the show,’ or like, ‘I want you back in our lives.’ That wasn’t really what I was saying… It would be nice if we live on the same street.”

“But you know what? Your loss. Stay on your side of the street,” she said on the podcast. “All good. I tried to say something nice. I don’t think I liked the attitude. I’m like, it’s weird. We haven’t seen her in a very long time so I just thought it was a little petty.”

Wakile’s surprise appearance on WWHL sparked rumors that she could be making a return to Real Housewives of New Jersey. But Cohen was quick to shut that down.

“The speculation online was that it was some sort of subliminal signal or we were testing things to see how people responded to seeing her in the clubhouse as a possible return to Jersey,” he said on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

He added that they “haven’t even started talking about next season” of RHONJ. “There was no intention behind her visit besides seeing an old friend. We wanted to surprise Gary Janetti, who we know loves her and her cannolis. And so we just thought it would be fun if we had a, you know, vintage housewife come through the door,” Cohen said.

Wakile starred on Real Housewives of New Jersey from Season 3 to Season 5 with some guest appearances in Seasons 6 and 7.

Perhaps this could be a “convenient” time for the Gorgas to reconcile their differences with Wakile, considering the show has hit somewhat of a slump after the recent season ended with less episodes and no reunion.
