Is ‘Homicide: Life On The Street’ Streaming On Peacock? Where To Stream The 90s Police Drama

Homicide: Life on the Street has secured a streaming release.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the series is slated to arrive on streaming next month. The police drama centered on the homicide unit of the Baltimore Police Department ran for seven seasons and featured the talents of stars such as Yaphet Kotto, Ned Beatty, Andre Braugher, Reed Diamond, Clark Johnson, Melissa Leo, Kyle Secor, Michelle Forbes, and Richard Belzer, the last of whom originated his Law & Order: SVU role of Detective John Munch on the show.

Series writer and producer David Simon — who also is the author and journalist who penned Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets, from which the series was inspired — had hinted at the show’s eventual streaming debut when he posted the following on X in June, per Deadline:

“Word is that NBC has managed to finally secure the music rights necessary to sell Homicide: Life On The Streets to a streaming platform. Andre, Richard, Yaphet, Ned, and so many others who labored on that wonderful show on both sides of the camera will soon regain a full share of their legacy,” he wrote. “Stay tuned for more details. #HLOTS #FontanaLevinson”

The series, which debuted in 1993 and aired its final episode in 1999, has remained a fan favorite, sustaining a 91% average Tomatometer score and a 90% average Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.
