‘Twisters’ Comes to Digital, But When Will ‘Twisters’ Be Streaming on Peacock?

I think we can safely declare this the year of Glen Powell. After stealing our hearts in Anyone But You and keeping us on the edge of our seats in Hit Man, the hunky actor is gearing up for his role in Twisters, which is coming to theaters this week. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new disaster flick!

As a direct sequel to 1996’s Twister, this movie follows a former storm chaser (Daisy Edgar-Jones) whose friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) lures her back into the field, where she meets a social media star who recklessly chases storms for content (Powell). However, they soon find themselves fighting for their lives as they end up in the paths of “multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma,” per the movie’s description.

So, will Twisters be on Netflix? What about Max?

WHERE TO WATCH TWISTERS:

UPDATE 8/20/24: Twisters became available to rent or buy on digital platforms on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

As of now, the only way to watch Twisters is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, July 19. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Peacock. WHEN WILL TWISTERS BE ON STREAMING? WILL TWISTERS BE ON PEACOCK?

Yes, Twisters will eventually be available to stream on Peacock. Since Universal movies like Cocaine Bear have come to Peacock around 45 days after their release, you can expect Twisters to join the streamer by late August or early September 2024. However, other movies like Night Swim have taken a little longer to reach the streamer (about three months) so it’s best to take this estimate with a grain of salt.

WILL TWISTERS BE ON HBO MAX?

No, Twisters will not be on Max — previously known as HBO Max — since it’s not a Warner Bros. Discovery movie.

WILL TWISTERS BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Twisters will not be on Netflix — at least not anytime soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to stream on Peacock.
