After a dramatic season of Vanderpump Rules in which he became known as “the most hated man in America,” Tom Sandoval is officially going after Ariana Madix for discovering his affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.

Per Us Weekly, court documents show the Vanderpump Rules star is suing Madix for accessing his phone on March 1, 2023, and allegedly distributing videos of him and Leviss without his “authorization or permission.”

That date might sound familiar because the court filing is directly referencing the day Madix learned of his affair with Leviss. Madix had been dating Sandoval for nine years when she came across footage of Leviss on his phone, sparking a breakup that shook the world and became widely known as Scandoval.

Sandoval accuses Madix of making “copies” of the video of Leviss and sharing it with “Leviss and third parties” without his permission.

Madix’s attorney, Jordan Susman, maintained in a statement to Us Weekly that Madix and Sandoval shared certain “privileges” when it came to their personal devices.

“It is abhorrent that Tom Sandoval continues to torment Ms. Madix. From engaging in an illicit affair that shattered her home and stability, to months of emotional warfare and now this attempt to further shirk personal responsibility for the effects his actions have had on her and her emotional wellbeing. Tom Sandoval knows full well what sort of privileges he and Ms. Madix shared in regard to their personal communication devices,” Susman’s statement said.

Susman’s strongly worded statement continues, “If he or his mistress had their way, it would be illegal for someone to discover their spouse or significant other was having an affair. For Mr. Sandoval to go from begging Ms. Madix for forgiveness to blaming her for his wrongdoing speaks for itself. Even months after the New York Times branded Mr. Sandoval ‘the most hated man in America,’ he has clearly learned nothing and believes it necessary to continue torturing Ms. Madix in a vain effort to rehabilitate his image. Ms. Madix is confident that a jury will see through this latest ploy and dismiss his frivolous claims.”

Sandoval’s lawsuit comes just months after Leviss sued him and Madix for revenge porn, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Madix soon filed her own countersuit, in which she claimed that she did not share the video footage she found with anyone but Leviss.

Amid the news of his lawsuit against Madix, Sandoval’s social media has gone dark, but that hasn’t kept Vanderpump Rules fans from raining hellfire in Madix’s name.

“Tom Sandoval is human garbage and he proves it over and over again. This is actually deranged,” one fan wrote.

“Tom Sandoval is VILE! I wish him nothing but the hottest part of hell,” another commented.

Some called for his firing, while others threatened to stop watching the Bravo series if he returns for Season 12.

“That we are now in a world where both Sandoval and Rachel have sued Ariana for discovering the evidence of their lengthy affair is bonkers,” a fan wrote. “You can’t sue the shame away.”

Avid VPR fans also remembered a time when Sandoval said he was “questioning if [Leviss] has a fucking soul” during the Season 11 reunion after she filed her lawsuit.

VPR star Katie Maloney also sided with her friend and co-star, writing on social media, “Authorized permission.. interesting choice of words pal. Anyways, you fucking suck dude.”

This drama will surely be covered once filming picks back up. For now, the cast is taking a break from filming Season 12.
