Douglas Barrymore strikes again. On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, host Drew Barrymore had to briefly halt her interview with Jeremy Renner when her dog got “really excited,” if you know what we mean.
Renner was looking back on his upbringing when Barrymore noticed Douglas getting a little too friendly with her guest.
“I think Douglas is getting really excited,” she said, to which Renner replied, “Oh no. Is it my cologne, buddy?”
Barrymore broke out into hysterics, telling the actor, “Out of nowhere, sometimes Douglas gets extremely turned on and it’s just a liability. It’s a compliment, but it’s super awkward.”
She tried to forge on with the segment, but Renner stopped her to kiss her forehead and pull her in for a hug.
“Thank you. There’s nothing like when your child embarrasses you,” Barrymore said. “Thank you for understanding.”
This is hardly the first time Douglas has gotten into trouble for his horny antics. During a January 2023 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Barrymore’s interview with Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi got derailed when Douglas and her late pup Lucy were getting a little too frisky for daytime television.
Barrymore immediately escorted Douglas off the stage when she noticed what was going on beneath her nose, playfully telling the audience, “My goodness. Is that just so embarrassing? Um, OK. They’re inspired.”
The silly moment came up again later in the interview as she praised Shahidi for her impressive accomplishments.
“You do karate, you have a black belt, you got yourself into Harvard, and you’re a voting rights advocate!” she said, to which Shahidi replied, “I mean, look at who I’m sitting across from! What are you talking about?”
Barrymore then quipped, “The woman who brought her dogs who tried to [expletive] each other on stage? I’m not feeling too good about myself right now!”
