New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Jinx – Part Two, Dinner With The Parents, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver + More
HBO’s The Jinx captivated audiences when it first premiered in 2015 as a profile of a would-be killer, Robert Durst. Nine years later, after Durst’s on-camera confession, legal trial, and death, the second part of the series, premiering Sunday on Max, is arriving to tell the rest of the story. On Netflix you can also catch a part two, this one being the second film in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon series, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. And on Prime Video, it’s the premiere of a new show filled with comedy powerhouses, Dinner With The Parents.
New on Max April 21: The Jinx – Part Two
The 2015 HBO docu-series The Jinx was an incriminating investigation into the behavior of wealthy real estate heir Robert Durst, and the show left off with a stunning twist: a hot mic murder confession from Durst himself. Durst was arrested the day the the episode featuring his confession aired, and The Jinx – Part Two is a six-part follow-up to the original series that features interviews with witnesses, friends, and lawyers involved in Durst’s case as it unfolded after his arrest.
New on Prime Video April 18: Dinner With The Parents
Dinner With The Parents features an all-star cast that includes Carol Kane, Dan Bakkedahl, Michaela Watkins, and Jon Glaser. The new single-camera comedy about a family whose Friday night dinners together devolve into chaos is headed to Freevee and Prime Video this week, you can watch the first four episodes this week, with two new episodes airing weekly on Thursdays after that.
New on Netflix April 19: Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver
The second installment of Zack Snyder’s space fantasy franchise, Rebel Moon, is out this week, four months after part one was released. Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver reunites Kora (Sofia Boutella) with Titus (Djimon Hounsou), Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), and the rest of their colony who are poised to fight against the army that’s closing in on the Motherworld. The version that’s out this week is PG-13, but Snyder has hinted at an R-rated director’s cut which will release at a later date.
