Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Files Lawsuit Alleging “Pattern Of Pervasive Domestic Abuse,” Detailing Multiple Accusations Of Assault

Jonathan Majors‘ ex-partner Grace Jabbari has filed a lawsuit against the actor, accusing him of assault and defamation months after he was found guilty of assaulting her during a domestic dispute in 2023.

The lawsuit accuses Majors of defamation, battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and malicious prosecution.

According to CNN, the filing details “a pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023,” and alleges that Majors has continued defaming Jabbari’s character since his recent conviction.

Majors “continued to show an utter lack of remorse for his actions and inability to be deterred from future similar conduct,” the lawsuit reads. “When publicly confronted with Grace’s numerous allegations of abuse, Majors has called her a liar at every turn and very specifically claimed that he has never put his hands on a woman, with the goal of convincing the world that Grace is not a victim of domestic abuse but instead a crazy liar who should be treated as such.”

Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ attorney, said in a statement that the lawsuit “is no surprise,” adding, “Mr. Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari,” per CNN.

The lawsuit alleges multiple instances in which Majors became physically abusive towards Jabbari, including an alleged incident in September 2022 when he “threw her against the hood of her car” and “forcefully grabbed Grace, placing her in a headlock and put his hand over her mouth to prevent someone from hearing her cries for help.”

“He brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck, stating that he wanted to kill her, and that he was going to kill her,” the lawsuit alleges. “Majors then started hitting Grace’s head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.”

Majors later allegedly became “furious” when Jabbari reportedly told a member of his team about the incident “in an effort to get him help,” the lawsuit says.

Jabbari is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Following his recent conviction, two of Majors’ ex-girlfriends have also come forward alleging that he physically and emotionally abused them as well.

Majors faces up to a year in prison in relation to his assault conviction. His sentencing will take place in April.

The actor has since been dropped by Marvel, among other projects of his that were in development.
