Sherri Shepherd Gets Her Chest Autographed By ‘Ghostbusters’ Legend Ernie Hudson in Stunning ‘Sherri’ Moment: “That’s What I’m Talking About, Y’all!”

Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson certainly ain’t afraid of no ghosts. And Sherri Shepherd wasn’t afraid to ask for his autograph — on her chest — on Wednesday’s (March 13) episode of Sherri.

The actor behind Winston Zeddemore stopped by to promote Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire — which hits theaters on March 22 — and the talk show host had the chance to indulge in a bit of a fangirl moment, per People.

After Shepherd asked him about the “most passionate fans that [he’s] met” in light of the franchise’s devoted fan base, Hudson recalled a particular interaction with a fan “at a convention maybe about 10 years ago.”

“A young lady came up to me and asked would I give her away,” he shared. “And I said, ‘You know, that would be nice, but I don’t really know you.'”

It turned out that they had met before, and that Hudson had left quite an impact.

“I guess I signed her ankle, and she went and had it permanently tattooed,” he revealed.

Eventually, Shepherd expressed curiosity about his interactions with female fans, particularly as to whether or not women ever approach him to ask if he could sign their chest.

Hudson quipped, “No, I’ve been waiting for that!”

Seemingly seconds later, Shepherd fulfilled Hudson’s wishes, uncapping a marker for him and directing him to the convenient cutout in her dress that laid across her chest. Hudson garnered a roar of applause from the studio audience as he proceeded to fulfill her request.

Shepherd teased, “That’s what I’m talking about, y’all!”

After gushing that she’d “been waiting for years to ask” him to do that, Hudson told her, “I hope you didn’t mind, I took a little time with that.”

Shepherd exclaimed, “I got Ernie Hudson on my chest, y’all!”

Hudson replied, “And you know what? After 50 years, I’ve been asking my wife to do that and she’s like, ‘Oh, please.'”

Outside of the upcoming film, Hudson stars as Herbert “Magic” Williams in the reboot of Quantum Leap, which aired its Season 2 finale last month on NBC.

Sherri airs on weekdays. Check out the website for local listings.
