A rumored Season 3 cast addition has Heartstopper fans’ hearts fluttering.

Word on the street is that Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in Bridgerton as Lord Anthony Brudgerton, Fellow Travelers as Tim Laughlin, and the upcoming Wicked as Fiyero, may be joining the next installment of the Netflix teen drama, which was renewed for both its second and third seasons in May 2022.

Collider reports that Bailey had revealed some pictures from a new Instagram page (which is currently private) under the name of Jack Maddox, his alleged Heartstopper character. According to Cinemablend, a post shared Wednesday on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) features two pictures of Bailey reportedly portraying Jack Maddox (see below).

Another keen observer on X pointed out that Bailey’s character may be based on Henry Maddox, a character featured in writer and creator Alice Oseman‘s graphic novels, per Cinemablend. This news was reiterated by another fan on X, who described Maddox as “the scholar that charlie (Joe Locke) and nick (Kit Connor) are infatuated with.”

The casting has not been officially announced by Netflix, but fans are still buzzing in anticipation. Here is what we know about Heartstopper Season 3.

When is the Heartstopper Season 3 release date?
