Taylor Swift may never turn to reality TV to find romance now that she’s dating Travis Kelce, but Daisy Kent, a contestant on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor will have Swifties thinking of the singer on Night 1. Why? Well, both gals grew up on Christmas tree farms, of course!

On Night 1 of Joey’s highly-anticipated Bachelor season, the 28-year-old tennis instructor met a massive cast of 32 women — the largest group to arrive on Night 1. One of those women was Daisy, who seemed like an early frontrunner based on an Instagram post the official Bachelor account shared of her intro video, in which she explains she lost her hearing from Lyme Disease.

Per Daisy’s official ABC bio, the 25-year-old account executive from Becker, Minnesota is “SO ready to find the one.”

“She comes from a big, loving family, and her parents’ 30-plus-year marriage has been the blueprint for the kind of love she wants for herself,” her bio reads. “Daisy has been through a lot in life and is ready for a man that will truly put her first. She’s looking for a partner who is loyal, adventurous and family oriented, and will be there for her no matter what. The account executive’s childhood was like a storybook growing up on a Christmas tree farm, and now Daisy is hoping to find her fairy-tale ending. On Night 1, Daisy rolled up to the Bachelor mansion in a big red truck with a lit Christmas tree in the back as a nod to home. In her intro video, she explained, “I started losing my hearing when I was 17 years old. It was all because I had Lyme disease. I’ve learned how to turn something really difficult into something really positive. My life is so full and I’m so happy, but I want that person to spend it with.” During the premiere, Daisy told cameras that she recently got a cochlear implant to help her hear, but she decided to get to know Joey a bit before sharing that part of herself. So the two mostly talked about his journey and their excitement during their one-on-one time.

“Daisy is gorgeous, and I was blown away as soon as she got out of the truck,” Joey told cameras. “She has this soft spoken demeanor that pulls you in; that’s captivating. And I’m drawn to it and want to know so much more.”

Though Daisy didn’t get Joey’s first impression rose, it’s clear she made quite the impact on Season 28’s leading man, so we can’t wait to see how their connection develops. What Is Lyme Disease?

Curious to learn more about Lyme disease, which Daisy Kent says caused her to lose her hearing? Per the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the disease is transmitted to humans through a bite from an infected tick. Symptoms can include everything from fever and headache to chronic fatigue and a skin rash, but if left untreated, Lyme disease can spread throughout the body and increase in severity. “If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system,” the CDC notes. And “a huge connection” between Lyme disease and hearing loss has also been documented.

What Is Daisy Kent’s Nonprofit? 

Per Daisy’s Instagram bio, the Bachelor contestant also started a non-profit organization called Hear Your Heart which “raises money to fund research for hearing loss and offer financial assistance to those who are equipped with hearing devices.” As the website explains, “Hear Your Heart’s vision is to aim for a world where every person and family dealing with hearing loss will have the resources they need to grow and have opportunities to thrive in all aspects of life.”
