The bulk of Selling Sunset Season 7’s drama was related to — surprise, surprise! — Chrishell Stause. But this time around, fellow Oppenheim Group realtor Nicole Young wasn’t the only gal starting trouble with the OG Selling Sunset cast member. Marie-Lou Nurk, who’s dating Jason Oppenheim in Season 7, spent the season butting heads with Chrishell over their respective relationships with The O Group boss.

From the Season 7 premiere, when Jason took Marie-Lou to join his ex Chrishell on an Australian getaway, we could tell trouble was brewing in luxury real estate paradise. Back at the office, the girls agreed that Chrishell was “Jason’s great love” and figured Marie-Lou was likely “jealous” of their connection. As the season progresses, that theory plays out right before our eyes in a truly mortifying fashion.

After Marie-Lou told Jason that she didn’t feel Chrishell was welcoming to her at events, Jason confronted Crishell and brought up the fact that she didn’t follow Marie-Lou on Instagram for several months. Yikes! Chrishell admitted that because of their age gap (Jason is 46 and Marie Lou is 25), she was hesitant to get too attached to Marie-Lou, but added that she’s greeted her with open arms, a smile, and kind words every time they were together, which a Selling Sunset supercut confirmed. Chrishell and Marie-Lou tried — and failed — to squash their beef at a deeply awkward lunch, which Chrishell left early after Marie-Lou accused her and Jason of still having feelings for each other. And their personalities continued to clash in Cabo when Chrishell decided to keep some distance from the group in hopes of establishing healthier work/life boundaries. The season ended with Jason telling Marie-Lou not to talk to Chrishell at their LA office opening because he didn’t want any drama. The couple was also planning a trip to Paris, which prompted Marie-Lou to make a joke about getting engaged.

So did Jason pop the question in Paris? Are he and Marie-Lou still together? Or have the two called it quits since Selling Sunset Season 7 filmed? Here’s everything we know about Jason Oppenheim and Marie-Lou Nurk’s current relationship status.

Are Jason And Marie-Lou Still Together? Or Did The Selling Sunset Couple Split?

After all the Jason/Marie-Lou/Chrishell drama in Selling Sunset Season 7, Jason and Marie-Lou aren’t even together anymore! That’s right, Selling Sunset fans. The model and real estate mogul — who met while vacationing in Mykonos last July — called it quits in May 2023 after 10 months of dating, People reported.

“While we still love and care about each other very much the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome,” Jason wrote in an Instagram story. “We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship.”

Per People, Nurk — who was splitting time between Paris and Los Angeles for work — replied to a question about her long-distance relationship with Oppenheim after she moved back to France, saying, “The truth is, we both knew from the beginning that I would have to move back because of my job, friends, and family being here.”

While long-distance didn’t work out for the couple, their breakup didn’t stop Oppenheim from commenting on one of Nurk’s Instagram posts in August, two months after they broke up. In response to a carousel of photos Nurk posted, featuring her in a short green dress, Oppenheim wrote, “Third photo of you is 🔥” for all to see. (It’s also worth noting that Marie-Lou and Chrishell don’t currently follow each other on Instagram. The end of a toxic era.)

Since then, it seems Nurk may have found a new love interest, as a pinned Instagram post of hers shows her walking hand in hand with a new man in St. Tropez who’s definitely not Jason Oppenheim.

Though Jason and Marie-Lou are finished, there’s a good chance we’ll see her on-screen again if Selling Sunset is renewed for Season 8, considering the two were still dating in the latest finale. Until then, Selling Sunset Season 7 is streaming on Netflix.
