Celebrities still get starstruck, and it seems like Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are no exception.
On this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the co-hosts discussed Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the film capturing the history-making “phenomenon” that is a Taylor Swift concert.
Ripa then proceeded to discuss some “exciting news,” which involved a text message she received the night before from her friend Elsa.
“She sends me a text message and she goes, ‘fifteen seconds in,'” Ripa explained. “So I click on the video, and it’s the movie of the concert.”
While “at first [she] wasn’t sure what [she] was watching,” she determined that the recording was of the new movie, and not taped live from the concert.
“And they show the crowd of girls screaming, there’s a group of teenage girls, and there is her daughter!” Ripa exclaimed.
“Both daughters!” Consuelos clarified.
“I gotta go back and watch the video,” Ripa replied. “So my girlfriend’s daughters — I only saw the one.”
“And that must have been in Los Angeles, right?” Consuelos asked, which Ripa agreed with.
“Do you know when you see people you know on TV and it’s very exciting?” Ripa asked the audience. “So picture that, only in the Taylor Swift concert movie!”
“That’s major street cred!” Consuelos affirmed. “They’re going to be the most popular girls in their school.”
“It’s just, to me, so exciting because A, they got tickets, so there’s that. And B, they’re in the movie! It’s so exciting to know someone,” Ripa gushed, before chastising the studio audience for not sharing her enthusiasm.
“Basically my girlfriend’s daughters are movie stars, and I don’t think you’re impressed enough by that!” she exclaimed.
“They’re great daughters, by the way,” Consuelos added. “So sweet.”
