Tensions are continuing to rise between Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro. The two women — who beefed on yesterday’s episode of The View when Navarro accused Hostin of slut-shaming — got snippy with each other on this morning’s episode as they clashed over whether the Republican Party is the party of Abraham Lincoln.

At the start of the Hot Topics segment, Joy Behar praised Republican presidential hopeful Mike Pence for “stepping up” after he admitted his party has become one of “personal grievances and performative outrage as opposed to caring about small government [and] lower taxes.”

Navarro — who, despite her disdain for Donald Trump, identifies as a Republican — noted that the former Vice President is “absolutely right.”

“I think for people like me who grew up in the Republican Party of yesteryears, the Republican Party of Ronald Reagan, I don’t recognize what is today defined as the conservative movement,” she said, before calling the GOP the “party of Abraham Lincoln” and reminding the audience that Lincoln “eradicated slavery.”

When Hostin attempted to chime in, she was met with a staunch “Let me finish” from Navarro.

“There are states in America right now, including my state of Florida, where they are trying to find a positive point of view on slavery and whitewashing Black history,” Navarro continued. “That is not a conservative value. Trying to take aid away from Ukraine and abandon Ukraine, that is not a traditional conservative value.”

Still, Hostin wasn’t going to let Navarro get off that easily as she laughed off the latter’s claim that the Republican Party has anything to do with Lincoln.

“I can’t let Republicans hide behind the party of Abraham Lincoln, OK?” she snickered. “Because the Republican Party hasn’t been the party of Abraham Lincoln since Jim Crow, since the Reconstruction, since forever. So let’s not twist history around.”

In response to her clap-back, Navarro told the co-host that it’s her “hope” that the party can revert to what it once was, to which an unconvinced Hostin snarked that she hopes to “be a billionaire,” too.

“Your community and my community — our communities — would benefit if we had two parties actually competing for our votes, respecting our votes, respecting us [and] respecting our history instead of alienating us and pitting us against each other,” Navarro concluded.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
