Miley Cyrus has never shied away from speaking her mind — and on the latest installment of her Used to Be Young TikTok series, she wondered how no one picked up on her bisexuality based on a viral meme from 2009.

In the photo, Cyrus is spotted walking with her Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. While the three women are all dressed to the nines in fancy dresses and heels, Cyrus is wearing sweatpants and cozy boots.

“This picture has become a meme — where it says, ‘Be the Miley of your friend group,’” the singer recalled on TikTok, before joking, “If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”

When someone seemingly scolded her for the comment from off-camera, she fired back, “What? I mean, hello! Look at them.”

While the group was actually leaving the Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere in Los Angeles, Cyrus speculated that they may have been on their way out of the Grammys. Despite her mixup, she remembered exactly where they all ended up that night.

“I literally think we were leaving the Grammys to go to the Cheesecake Factory,” she said. “Me and Emily, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato are going to the Cheesecake Factory. These are some classy ladies.”

Cyrus — who rose to fame playing the titular character on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana from 2006-2011 — has been vocal about her sexuality since exiting the network. In 2015, she came out as pansexual — and went into further detail during an interview with Variety the following year.

“My whole life, I didn’t understand my own gender and my own sexuality,” she said. “I always hated the word ‘bisexual,’ because that’s even putting me in a box. I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl.”

Cyrus continued, “My eyes started opening in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick. I grew up in a very religious Southern family. The universe has always given me the power to know I’ll be OK. Even at that time, when my parents didn’t understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand.”

Nowadays, you can catch Cyrus promoting her new single, “Used to Be Young,” via her TikTok page — where she’s been posting several clips a day discussing the highlights of her iconic career.
