Rachel “Raquel” Leviss‘ days on Vanderpump Rules are long behind her. According to a new report by Entertainment Tonight, the former reality star is officially not returning to Season 11 of the Emmy-nominated reality series in light of Scandoval.

Leviss came under immense public scrutiny earlier this year after it was revealed that she had a months-long affair with Tom Sandoval — who was the longtime boyfriend of her close friend, Ariana Madix. After the drama played out in the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale as well as the brutal three-part reunion, Leviss’ future on the show was in question — until now.

“Rachel will not be returning for Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. There was a possibility up until recently she’d be returning for the new season, but ultimately decided against it,” a source told ET. “Rachel is focused on her mental health journey and knew going back to the show would open her up to trauma she’s been working on healing. Rachel is looking forward to what the future holds for her.”

The report comes one day after Leviss gave her first public interview since the reunion — where she seemingly hinted that she wouldn’t be coming back to the Bravo show. While chatting on Bethenny Frankel‘s Just B podcast, Leviss opened up about the “exploitation” of reality TV — and how she “almost went back.”

“I feel like I’ve been portrayed as the ultimate villain. My mistakes that I’ve made on camera live on forever,” she said. “You mentioned something about the addiction of doing reality TV and the way that they always dangle that carrot in front of you, like, ‘Well, you need to tell your side of the story otherwise it’s gonna be written for you.’ And that’s terrifying. So I almost went back, just because of that.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 began filming in early July without Leviss — and, yes, even Sandoval has been pictured hanging out with the cast. Amid confusion over the former beauty queen’s employment on the series, it was reported that she was “playing hardball” with Bravo over negotiations regarding her contract.

But for now, it looks like Leviss — who spent three months in a mental health facility after filming the reunion — will enjoy a life away from the drama as she continues to spend time with her family in Arizona, according to a source who spoke to ET earlier this month.

“Rachel has been receiving letters from people opening up about their own mental health journey and applauding her for taking time away from filming to focus on her mental health,” the insider said. “Rachel is in a really good place and has been enjoying a slower pace of life. She’s been doing Pilates and often goes hiking.”

Decider has reached out to Leviss’ reps for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.
