Yellowstone actor Neal McDonough was recently stopped by police after someone placed a call regarding someone “behaving suspiciously” in their neighborhood, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a man who was seen driving around a Westlake Village neighborhood and knocking on doors.

The person who placed the call seemed to be worried that he was “casing” the area.

He was soon apprehended by police, who realized who he was. TMZ reports the actor was “super nice” to law enforcement and explained he was just checking out the neighborhood because he’s house hunting.

“Anyway, after a friendly chat … it was clear no crimes were being committed,” the outlet wrote.

McDonough has made his name as a character actor across various projects in film and television, so maybe he’s gotten a little too good at playing the villain.

Some of his most memorable appearances include his 24-episode stint on Desperate Housewives, in which he played a suspicious new neighbor on Wisteria Lane. He’s also appeared in American Horror Story, Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, and Suits.

But Yellowstone fans may know him as Malcolm Beck, the main antagonist who would go on to terrorize the Duttons throughout Season 2.

Beck was the head of the Montana Liquor Board who orchestrated the kidnapping of John Dutton’s grandson Tate.

In 2022, McDonough teased that there’s always a chance his character could come back to the show.

“Did I die? Did I? I’m not so sure about that. We have talked about the fact we didn’t actually see Malcolm Beck’s eyes close,” he told TVLine. “There is always that possibility. My brother won’t be coming back for sure, but there is a possibility.”
