‘Love Is Blind’ Host Nick Lachey Ordered To Complete Anger Management and Alcoholics Anonymous Classes After Paparazzo Altercation

Nick Lachey is in a bit of a pickle. A year after a heated altercation with a female paparazzo, the Love Is Blind co-host has been ordered to attend anger management classes and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. 

The television host was charged with assault and battery after a run-in with celebrity photographer Jody Santos in March 2022. 

Santos claimed to The Daily Mail that he tried to hit her after she was spotted snapping photos of Lachey and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, from across the street. The couple had just left dinner.

“Until this day, Nick hasn’t taken any responsibility. He’s justified it. He thought this was done, but it’s not done,” Santos told The Daily Mail.

She speculated that Lachey has “a year or so” to complete his mandated sessions or else he will be prosecuted with noncompliance. 

Recalling the incident, Santos claimed that Lachey had approached her car and tried to grab her camera and phone through her passenger window, which she rolled up “as fast” as she “could.” The photographer added, “In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me.”

At the time of the assault, Lachey told his side of the story on Twitter. Last March, the 98 Degrees singer wrote, “Last night, after enjoying a great dinner with my wife and our dear friend, the paparazzi harassed us as we walked back to our hotel.”

He continued, “I clearly overreacted. I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal. Stupid of me. Done.”

Lachey has yet to comment on the recent news, but shared his excitement for the success of his wife’s CBS spinoff NCIS: Hawai’i yesterday (Mar. 20).

In addition to co-hosting the hit Netflix dating show, Lachey also hosts The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On and The Perfect Match on the streamer. On all three shows, he provides guidance to the participants, particularly the men, while they embark on their romantic pursuits.
