New on Disney+ March 11: Turning Red
Turning Red is the latest Disney-Pixar animated film that is new on Disney+ this weekend. This coming-of-age fantasy tail (hehe) centers on Meilin “Mei” Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a confidently-dorky Chinese-Canadian girl trying to be a normal 13-year-old while under the watchful eye of her overbearing mother, Ming (Sandra Oh). Seems like a very common problem for many girls going through adolescence, but when Mei discovers that on top of the changes to her body, interests and relationships, she has inherited a lovely family quirk that makes her “poof” into a giant, fluffy red panda whenever she feels any strong emotion! That might add some extra hijinks to her adolescence, don’t you think? A heartwarming, fluffy and touching story about self-discovery and family, Turning Red is the next must-watch Disney Pixar film that you can check out this weekened.
