‘SNL’ Will Stream Live on Peacock, Announces First Season 47 Hosts: Kim Kardashian, Jason Sudeikis, More

Live from New York, Saturday Night Live is back! The comedy series announced their first lineup of hosts for the next season of the show, including Owen Wilson, Kim Kardashian, Jason Sudeikis, and Rami Malek. And, for the first time ever, the show will be stream live on Peacock as it also airs on NBC.

For decades, SNL has been broadcast exclusively on NBC after the other late night shows have aired. But as NBC ramps up its streamer Peacock, hunting for new subscribers, the storied comedy show will be online as well. For Season 47 of Lorne Michaels‘ hit series, the show will begin airing on both Peacock and NBC in early October.

The first host of the season will be Owen Wilson, who recently starred in the Disney+ series Loki. He’s paired with musician Kacey Musgraves, who just released her album Star-Crossed.

Reality show star Kim Kardashian West will be next to take the stage in her first appearance ever. She’ll be joined by musical guest Halsey. Next on the roster is Rami Malek, another hosting debut timed to his James Bond movies, No Time To Die. He’ll be joined by Young Thug as the show’s musical guest.

Finally, SNL alum Jason Sudeikis will return for his first appearance as the host of the show. He recently won an Emmy for his performance as lead comedic actor in Ted Lasso, even roasting SNL boss Michaels on stage as he accepted the award. Brandi Carlile will be the musician for Sudeikis’ hosting gig.

NBC did not announce any details about new cast members joining for the 47th season, nor if any veteran cast at the end of their contracts would be exiting the show.

Saturday Night Live will return with Wilson and Musgraves as guests on Oct. 2 at 11:30 p.m. ET. New episodes of SNL will premiere weekly on Saturday nights at 11:30/10:30c.
