Welcome back to the political machine. This Tuesday marks the premiere of another new episode of Impeachment: American Crime Story, FX’s retelling of the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal. Get ready for the beginnings of a major lawsuit.

Last episode we got to see the cuddly side of Lewinsky (Beanie Feldstein) and Clinton’s (Clive Owen) relationship. Now things are about to get heated, and not in a sexy way. Wondering how you can watch Impeachment: American Crime Story Episode 3? Here’s everything you need to know about this new series from Ryan Murphy.

When Does Impeachment: American Crime Story Episode 3 Premiere?

By now you know the drill. Tuesday, September 21, marks the premiere of Impeachment: American Crime Story Episode 3, “Not To Be Believed.” Because the streaming rights were sold to Netflix years ago, this new episode will not be available on FX on Hulu the following day.

What Time Does Impeachment: American Crime Story Episode 3 Come On?

The best way to watch this new season of American Crime Story is live, which means you’re in for a long night. The new episode premieres on FX this Tuesday, September 21, at 10/9c p.m.

Will Impeachment: American Crime Story Be on Hulu?

It will not. As far as we can tell, the FX on Hulu deal only applies to new and old FX shows that don’t currently have streaming deals in place. For example, Amazon Prime Video has the exclusive streaming right to The Americans, which is why the critical darling isn’t on Hulu. Similarly, in 2016, Netflix purchased the exclusive global streaming rights to American Crime Story. Because of this, Impeachment will be going to Netflix eventually. But unless the deal expires and there’s a renegotiation, Hulu will not be the streaming home of this new season.

Will Impeachment: American Crime Story Be on Netflix?

Thanks to Netflix’s purchasing of American Crime Story‘s streaming rights in 2016, yes. Impeachment will be going to Netflix. But it’s going to take a while.

Typically new seasons of currently running network shows don’t come to streaming until after the final episode has premiered and the show has gone through a SVOD blackout period. For Season 2 of this show, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, the final episode premiered in March of 2018, and it finally became available in January of 2019. If Impeachment follows the same time frame, this season will likely land on Netflix in September of 2022.

How to Watch Impeachment: American Crime Story

You know how the FX on Hulu deal doesn’t apply to American Crime Story? That means the only way to watch this new season is through FX, so now is a great time to have cable. Turn your TV to FX on or before this Tuesday, September 21, at 10/9c p.m. It’s also possible to use your cable username and password to watch the first three episodes on FX’s site or the FXNOW app. In case you were wondering, the FXNOW app is available for iOS, Android, Amazon Fire Tablet, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox.

If you have a live TV skinny bundle, you’re also set. FX is included with YouTube TVHulu + Live TV, and Sling TV, meaning you can use any of those options to watch Impeachment live. These services also give you the option to watch past episodes.

Unfortunately, that’s where your streaming options end. American Crime Story is expected to go to Netflix in several months. But since it won’t be on Hulu, you won’t be able to stream new episodes without a cable or live TV skinny bundle subscription.
