Is ‘The Night House’ Available on Streaming? Where to Watch

Spooky season is arriving a little early this year. Case in point: David Bruckner’s new horror film The Night House, which arrives in theaters on August 20, ushering in a wave of spine-tingling fall releases. But is The Night House available on streaming?

Rebecca Hall stars in the movie as Beth, a woman who unexpectedly loses her husband and is left to grieve in the house that he built for them. To make matters worse, she begins seeing a ghostlike presence calling to her within the house, but the spirit disappears when day breaks (hence the title). Searching for answers, Beth digs into her husband’s past and uncovers his dark connection to their home.

The Night House is shaping up to be one of the buzziest new horror films, so here’s where to watch it and when you can expect The Night House.

Where to watch The Night House:

Right now, the only place to watch the horror film is in a movie theater when it opens on Friday, August 20. You can find a show of The Night House at a theater near you here. If you choose to go, the CDC recommends you wear a mask.

Will The Night House be on HBO Max?

Nope, sorry. HBO Max — which is owned by Warner Media — has been the streaming home of Warner Bros. blockbusters such as Reminiscence and The Suicide Squad in 2021. Since The Night House isn’t a Warner Bros. movie, it won’t be on HBO Max the same day it hits theaters. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be on HBO Max in the future.

Is The Night House on Netflix?

No. The Night House is premiering exclusively in theaters, and won’t be on Netflix. However, you can watch director David Bruckner’s 2017 film The Ritual on the streaming service.

Can I stream The Night House anywhere? When will The Night House be on streaming?

The Night House isn’t currently streaming anywhere, and a digital release date for the film hasn’t been announced yet. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
