‘Southern Charm’: Patricia Altschul’s Butler Michael Kelcourse Has A “Positive Outlook” After Spinal Cord Stroke — And Is Teaching Other Rehab Patients How To Cook!

We’ve all been sending healing vibes to Michael Kelcourse, best known as Michael the Butler on Southern Charm, where he’s delighted viewers with his quips and delighted his boss Patricia Altschul with his delicious martinis. But after recently suffering what is known as a spinal cord stroke, we’ve not only been pulling for him to have a speedy recovery, but fans of the show have also been on the lookout for updates.

Earlier this month, Patricia shared the website where people can leave encouraging messages for Michael as well as get updates — including the fact that he was enjoying pet therapy, aww! And this weekend, she took to Twitter to share some more information about her friend.

“He is working hard at his rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center and is actually teaching other patients how to cook. He suffered a spinal stroke which is actually quite rare but has a positive outlook and is learning how to live with paralysis,” she wrote. While we are saddened to hear of his paralysis, a common effect, it is nice to hear that he has remained positive and is even back in the kitchen — imagine getting lessons from the expert himself!

While no official information has been confirmed about Southern Charm Season 8, we’ll continue to send positive vibes in Michael’s direction, as we can’t imagine a season without him.
