Behind Her Eyes is the latest thriller to grip Netflix audiences with its chilling narrative and intriguing, mysterious characters. The twisted tale, which is based on the 2017 novel of the same name by author Sarah Pinborough, follows a single mom who engages in a dangerous affair with her boss while also befriending his wife. With its excellent cast and addictive story, Behind Her Eyes is already climbing up the Netflix Top 10 chart.
While the show is full of talent, Eve Hewson, the actress who plays Adele, is especially excited about her role in Behind Her Eyes. “It’s kind of sick to say, but I feel I was born to play this part,” Hewson told Town and Country in an interview this month. “There are some people I’ve met in my life who this character reminded me of, and I just knew exactly what to do.”
Decider’s Joel Keller praised Hewson’s turn as Adele in in his Behind Her Eyes review, writing, “Hewson, whom we just saw in Starz’ The Luminaries, is perfectly icy as Adele, who might be in her own world but is trying really hard to get to something resembling normal.”

WHO IS EVE HEWSON?
Eve Hewson is an Irish actress and the star of Netflix’s new thriller Behind Her Eyes. Hewson plays Adele, the mysterious wife of David (Tom Bateman) who strikes up a friendship with the woman he’s having an affair with, Louise (Simona Brown). Hewson, whose full name is Memphis Eve Sunny Day Hewson, was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1991 and first began acting at age 17 in The 27 Club, according to her IMDb bio. Hewson attended the Dalkey School Project and St. Andrew’s College in Dublin, and later New York University.

Hewson has been working steadily since her film debut in 2008. Aside from her most recent appearance in Behind Her Eyes, she’s also starred in This Must Be the Place, Blood Ties, Enough Said, Bridge of Spies, The Knick and The Luminaries.
EVE HEWSON AND BONO: WHO IS EVE HEWSON’S DAD?
Eve Hewson isn’t the only famous one in her family. The Behind Her Eyes actress is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono and his wife, activist Ali Hewson. She revealed back in 2014 that she used to hid her famous father to avoid questions, but the truth always got out eventually. “In school, whenever we had to write those letters where you say, ‘Hi, my name’s Eve and my dad does this. . .’ I always used to lie and say that my dad was a doctor. It just saves conversation. People always find out eventually,” she said, per Independent.ie.
While she’s the daughter of a major rock star, Hewson didn’t pick up the musical talents of her father, she told Town and Country. Despite learning multiple instruments, nothing stuck for Hewson. “I thought I was going to go into music, but I was terrible at practicing,” she said. “When I started acting, I realized I could spend all day long going over lines, reading scripts, doing different exercises, and it didn’t feel like work at all. Practicing music did.”
