To kick off the weekend on a very positive note, The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage! is available to rent on VOD. Follow this not-so-silly sponge as he dances across the Broadway stage and entertains people of both young and old. When you’re in the mood for something a little more disturbing, Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor is ready to invade your mind…literally. Possessor: Uncut
Writer-director Brandon Cronenberg has stepped out from his older brother David’s (Scanners, Videodrome) with his new film, Possessor: Uncut. This stellar psychosexual horror centers on Tasya Vos: an elite corporate assassin who uses brain implant technology to take control of other people’s bodies and execute high-profile targets. Gory, provocative and perhaps a tad extreme, Possessor: Uncut is the type of film that you wish you could turn off but from which you can never take your eyes away. The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage!
It’s the best day ever, and not just because we are nearing the finish line on this election! After a great run and a sad and sudden departure from Broadway, “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical” is making it to the digital screen with The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage! This musical adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon series follows our favorite undersea creatures as they embark on an adventure to save Bikini Bottom from an undersea volcano that would destroy the town forever. It gives Squidward Tentacles tap shoes, Patrick Star a posse and Spongebob Squarepants an amazing singing voice. You may be inclined to write this movie musical off due to its childish origins, but trust this critic when she says The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage will pick up your spirits and have you shouting “I’M READY” for whatever is to come.
