Are y’all ready for a good time? If your answer is “yes,” then Teenage Bounty Hunters is here to party. The new Netflix action/comedy is an irreverent blast of a show—which you could probably tell just from the title. The new series comes from executive producer Jenji Kohan, who’s already brought two acclaimed hits to Netflix (Orange Is the New Black and GLOW). But what is Teenage Bounty Hunters about—y’know, beyond the incredibly descriptive title? Who’s in the cast and where was Season 1 of the show filmed? What is Teenage Bounty Hunters on Netflix?

Teenage Bounty Hunters is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a show about bounty hunters who are also teenagers. Okay—but really, the show is about twin sisters who fall backwards into the bounty hunting gig totally by accident. It turns out that they’re actually pretty good at it, so they stick with it—also because they need the money. But how can they juggle being bounty hunters and students at a hella uptight Christian private school? These girls have too much going on!

Who is in the Teenage Bounty Hunters cast?

Twin sisters Sterling and Blair are played by Maddie Phillips (Project MC2) and Anjelica Bette Fellini (The Gifted), respectively. Kadeem Hardison (A Different World) plays Bowser, the actual bounty hunter that takes the twins under his wing. Their parents are played by Virginia Williams (Fuller House) and Mackenzie Astin (The Magicians). Spencer House (The Society) plays Sterling’s boyfriend Luke, and Devon Hales (The Resident) plays her rival April.

The series also stars Shirley Rumierk (Manifest) as Yolanda, Myles Evans (Miracle Workers) as Miles, and Wynn Everett (Agent Carter) as Ellen.

Where was Teenage Bounty Hunters filmed?

If Teenage Bounty Hunters‘ thoroughly southern setting seems accurate, that’s because the show was filmed in Georgia. The series was filmed from June to November 2019 in and around the Atlanta area. That includes Atlanta’s Oglethorpe University, which doubled as the show’s Christian high school.
