‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ Livestream: All the Ways to Watch in 2019

The Rankin/Bass version of Rudolph first aired 55 years ago in 1964 and has been a beloved classic ever since. He makes friends with an oddball elf named Hermey, travels to the Island of Misfit toys, and eventually grows up and saves the day. Yup, in the end, Rudolph’s distinctive nose helps light the way for Santa and his sleigh during a stormy Christmas Eve.

CBS has had the rights to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer since 1972. However, Freeform recently won the right to share said rights so that the Rankin/Bass classic can be part of its 25 Days of Christmas.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be on CBS tonight, Monday, December 2, 2019 at 8 PM. It will also air on CBS on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 8 PM, followed by holiday specials Frosty the Snowman and Frosty Returns.

Rudolph will make his Freeform debut on Friday, December 6 at 8 PM ET/7PM CT. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will also be airing on Freeform on the following dates:

In 2012, DMX was asked by an interviewer to recite the lyrics to “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and the rapper immediately put his own spin on the classic. The clip went viral and in 2017, DMX teamed up with Spotify to officially release his version. However, that song is no longer available on Spotify.
