Here’s When ‘Yesterday’ Is Coming to Video on Demand

If you thought the timeline shenanigans of Avengers: Endgame were wild, just wait until you hear about Yesterday. In this movie, one lone musician (Himesh Patel) wakes up one morning to realize that every single person on Earth has forgotten about the Beatles and their music… except for him! What’s a Beatle-maniac gonna do in this weird new world? He knows all those songs by heart, he might as well share them!

That’s what Jack Malik (Patel) does, passing off all of the Beatles’ greatest hits as his own originals, and you bet his start climbs. The movie also stars Lily James as Malik’s manager, Kate McKinnon as a cunning music agent, and Ed Sheeran as himself.

When will Yesterday be released digitally?

If you’ve said hello to digital and goodbye to physical, then September 10 is your first chance to own Yesterday. The film will be released digitally, with all the special features listed below, on that day. You can pre-order Yesterday in your preferred digital store, including Apple, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, and FandangoNow. However, if you only want to rent Yesterday, you’ll have to wait just a little while longer.

Note that the DVD release will only include the following special features: the alternate ending, deleted scenes, Live at Abbey Road Studios, and the commentary track.

Unfortunately, probably never. Yesterday was produced by Universal and new, live-action Universal movies don’t make their way to Netflix.
