Sneaky Pete Season 3 started with a bang (well, a crash, really) and ended with a series of long cons coming together as Marius and the entire Bernhardt/Bowman family joined forces to try to save one of their own. It was another well-told story that unraveled over an enjoyable ten episodes.

Giovanni Ribisi plays the conflicted con man character to perfection; Margo Martindale and Peter Gerety shine as a bickering married couple desperately trying to keep the family together; and the series introduced a barrage of exciting guest stars — Efrat Dor, M. Emmet Walsh, Amy Landecker, the late Ricky Jay, Carla Gallo, Patrick J. Adams — who served to enhance the drama and mystery. Now that many fans have binged the third season, they have one question: Will there be a Season 4 of Sneaky Pete?

Here’s everything we know.

HAS SNEAKY PETE BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 4?

Nope. Amazon has yet to make any official announcement regarding a fourth season of Sneaky Pete.

WHO IS MAGGIE ON SNEAKY PETE?

Maggie is portrayed by actress Jane Adams. You might recognize Adams from Netflix’s Easy, Twin Peaks, Claws, or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

WILL SNEAKY PETE HAVE A SEASON 4? WILL THERE BE A SEASON 4 OF SNEAKY PETE?

We’re usually pretty good at predicting these type of things, but, honestly, this one is 50/50. The series earned a Season 3 thanks to a passionate fanbase, critical acclaim (the series has a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes), and a $9.2 million dollar tax credit for moving production from New York to California.

Back in 2017, Sneaky Pete was Amazon’s second most-watched original (behind The Grand Tour), but Season 1 wasn’t a money-maker for the platform. Another wrinkle is that Season 3 saw a new showrunner take over, Blake Masters, as former EPs Graham Yost, Fred Golan, and Michael Dinner exited the series.

Also, without getting into spoiler territory, the third season didn’t end on a cliffhanger like previous seasons, which could mean that the creative team was ready to conclude the series after three seasons. I’m a fan of the show, but despite critical acclaim and passionate fan support, I wouldn’t be surprised if Season 3 was the final installment of this series. But again, it’s truly 50/50.

WHO PLAYS LORRAINE ON SNEAKY PETE?

Taylor’s current and Otto’s former love interest is portrayed by Amy Landecker. The actress is best known for playing Sarah Pfefferman on Amazon’s Transparent.

LET’S ASSUME THE SERIES IS RENEWED. WHEN WILL SNEAKY PETE SEASON 4 PREMIERE ON AMAZON?

It’s going to be awhile. Season 1 of Sneaky Pete dropped on January 13, 2017, while Season 2 didn’t premiere until March 9, 2018. It took 14 months for Season 3 to arrive, debuting just last week on the streaming service.

With those dates in mind, if the series is renewed, our guess is that Sneaky Pete Season 4 would premiere in the summer of 2020.
