Holy Streaming Service! DC Universe Reveals Lineup of Batman Content

The streaming universe is about to get a bold new entry. DC Universe, Warner Bros.’ all DC Comics streaming platform, will bring an immersive experience to comics fans both hardcore and casual, providing hours and hours of film, TV, and comics content starring all of the publisher’s iconic heroes.

To celebrate DC Universe’s launch on Batman Day (that’s September 15 to all those not in the Bat family), the new service revealed their initial lineup of Dark Knight related offerings. Over a dozen TV series and live-action and animated films will be available to stream at launch, providing users with a comprehensive visual tour of the caped crusader’s modern mythology. Additionally, DC Universe subscribers will also have access to over 400 issues of Batman comics, including his first appearance, the groundbreaking Dark Knight Returns and Year one, as well as recent storylines like Batman Eternal.

The service will feature way more than just Batman. DC Universe’s first original series, Titans, will debut on October 12. The series will star Brenton Thwaites as former Batman sidekick Robin.

DC Universe is expected to launch with all four Christopher Reeves Superman films; the ’50s Adventures of Superman series; the TV show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and the ’70s Wonder Woman series; the SuperboyFlash, and Birds of Prey live-action series from the ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s, respectively; and the animated Static ShockYoung Justice, and Teen Titans shows.
