Netflix’s ‘Safe’ Puts Michael C. Hall In The Middle Of A Twisty Thriller

Michael C. Hall, best known for playing serial killer Dexter, is running around the British countryside looking for his daughter in the first trailer for Netflix’s forthcoming drama Safe.

Hall stars alongside Sherlock’s Amanda Abbington in the eight-part drama, which is produced by Red Production Company, the Studiocanal-backed producer behind Happy Valley, for Netflix and France’s Canal+.

Written by by Shameless‘ Danny Brocklehurst, Hall plays Tom, a pediatric surgeon who is raising his two teenage daughters Jenny and Carrie in a picturesque gated community after the death of his wife. Everyone seems to be recovering and thriving, until one evening, Jenny sneaks out to a party. A murder and a disappearance ensue, bringing buried secrets to the surface.

Harlan Coben exec produces alongside Hall, Nicola Shindler, Brocklehurst and Red’s Richard Fee. The series launches May 10.
