What’s a girl gotta do to have a moment? After stealing scenes as Etta in Wonder Woman, no easy feat to begin with, Lucy Davis has reminded the world how talented and funny she is —and has been— on-screen for many years. So, world, let’s get it together and honor her with a moment.

You see, a moment is when an actor or actress is just repeatedly killing it in their career, one entertaining jam after another. And the thing about Lucy is, she’s been revving up for a moment for 15 years now. It was all the way back in 2001 that The Office premiered in the UK and Lucy immediately caught viewers’ attention as Dawn Tinsley, receptionist and romantic interest of Tim (Martin Freeman). Not only was her work comedic, it was more important than anyone could’ve imagined at the time — from Dawn, Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) and the US version were birthed, along with a new genre of television.

Lucy’s remained a consistent comedy staple since then, with roles in Shaun of the Dead, as the delightful Lucy in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and arcs on half-hour comedies Maron and Better Things. She can be the best pal, she can be the secretary, and now it’s time for her to be the star. On-screen, she’s demonstrated every character type in her arsenal, from confident to exasperated and ditzy to sweet. Just as someone such as Melissa McCarthy has shot to leading role status after a playing a series of pals, Lucy’s primed to follow in her funny footsteps.

While we’re counting on Wonder Woman to make a difference in a lot of ways, let’s hope it is a reminder that Lucy is a true gem, one that should be utilized more often, and front and center, at that. Someone let her know to get ready for her moment, because we sure are.
