Final Shots: Netflix Adds Tracy Morgan To Impressive Lineup Of Exclusive Stand-Up Specials

Netflix has nabbed yet another big-name stand-up comedy special, this time featuring Tracy Morgan, adding to its already impressive lineup of exclusive specials. The platform’s recent signings include Sarah Silverman, Louis C.K., Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld.

According to Deadline, the brand new feature is titled Staying Alive and was shot at New Jersey’s landmark Count Basie Theatre. The comedian will tackle the topic of his life in the wake of surviving a devastating crash in 2014. The one-hour original release will debut globally on May 16.

Netflix has nabbed an original docu-series adaptation of Mark Harris’ 2014 book, Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War. The series, which is also written by Harris and divided into three parts, chronicles Hollywood’s role in World War II and will debut on Netflix at the end of March. [EW]

Netflix is reportedly in the market for an original global car series after losing a bid for Amazon‘s The Grand Tour last year. One outlet, while analyzing the platform’s move towards reality TV, claims to have gotten this information from “people with knowledge of the matter.” [Bloomberg]

Producer Adi Shankar of Netflix’s forthcoming Castlevania series unveiled a blood-red first official poster for the show on Facebook. The brand new original adaptation of the classic NES game will premiere via the platform sometime in 2017:
