Look, this is your final warning. What you’re about to see will leave you forever spoiled. Decider has compiled the 16 most shocking moments on TV this year — the 16 biggest spoilers, if you will — for your amusement (or irritation).
These were the plot twists, deaths, and revelations we simply didn’t see coming (or we saw them coming and were thrilled to discover our theories were proved accurate). From who Negan killed in The Walking Dead to what happened to make Hodor “Hodor,” these are the most jaw-dropping moments television gave us this year.
YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.
‘The Americans,’ "The Magic of David Copperfield V: The Statue of Liberty Disappears"

Fan favorite Martha got put on a plane to Moscow and will never be seen again.
’Silicon Valley,’ "The Uptick"
The Spoiler: Richard gets fired (and re-hired), looses the company, tries to get it back — and Erlich buys it.
In a convoluted, but realistic, turn of events, Richard is booted out of his majority share in Pied Piper, lured back to the company in a smaller role, devastated to watch it be sold…and then relieved (??) to learn his pal Erlich bought it. My oh my, the tides of power are changing…
‘Archer,’ "Deadly Velvet: Part II"
The Spoiler: Archer dies.
Archer killed off its titular character. How will the show continue? It’s being completely rebooted.
‘The Night Of,’ "The Call of the Wild"
The Spoiler: Naz gets off.
The big mystery of The Night Of wasn’t “whodunnit?” but would Naz get off. Well, he did!
’11.22.63,’ "The Day in Question"
The Spoiler: Saving Kennedy ruins the world.
The whole conceit of 11.22.63 is that if Kennedy survived, the world would be a better place. As it turns out, not so much.
‘Marvel’s Luke Cage,’ “Manifest”
The Spoiler: Mariah kills Cottonmouth mid-season.
After Cottonmouth addles Mariah about the fact that their uncle raped her as a teen, she freaks out and takes a champagne bottle to his head, shoves him out a window and bludgeons him to death with a mic stand. Thus killing the show’s most compelling villain halfway through the first season.
‘Peaky Blinders,’ Season 3, Episode 6
The Spoiler: Tommy’s betrayal
After years of leading the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby delivered the ultimate betrayal: delivering his family and friends to the police.

Who did JoJo pick? None other than Aaron Rodgers’ preening brother Jordan.

During a prison riot, CO Bayley restrains Poussey forcefully, cutting off her oxygen and killing her.

‘Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life,’ “Fall”
The Spoiler: The final four words reveal that Rory Gilmore is pregnant.
Yup! Gilmore Girls ends with Rory declaring that she is pregnant (by we assume Logan Huntzberger).
Stream 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,' "Fall" on Netflix
‘Game of Thrones,’ “The Door”
The Spoiler: Hodor is Hodor because of Bran!
Okay, so bear with us as we try to explain this: Hodor is Hodor because Bran was simultaneously using his Three-Eyed Raven powers to control Hodor during a wight attack and to travel back in time. So young Hodor experienced his own death, holding a door, so Bran and Meera could escape. The experience made Hodor “Hodor.” (Honor means “Hold the Door.”)
‘The Walking Dead,’ Season 7, Episode 1, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be"
The Spoiler: Glenn — and Abraham — die
For months, Walking Dead fans were stuck speculating over which one of our heroes would fall under Negan’s bat Lucille. In the end it was fan favorite Glenn. And also Abraham. But people care more about Glenn!
