These Are The Jokes Ann Coulter Refused To Say At The ‘Roast of Rob Lowe’

The Roast of Rob Lowe premiered on Comedy Central last night and it sure was a doozy. Comedians, musicians, actors, and athletes all got their jabs in at Rob Lowe, in between their total takedown of Ann Coulter. If you’re wondering why it was a little quieter in the room when she got up to the podium, well, that may have been her fault.

After the roast aired, writers Mike Lawrence and Earl Skakel hit Facebook Live to break it all down. Oh, and if you happened to miss any of the roast, it is streaming in all its uncensored glory over on the Comedy Central website. The writers addressed Coulter’s participation by saying that they “wrote her a lot of jokes” but that “she does not understand humor or joy.” She turned many of them down and went with her own material. Yikes. The guys continued to explain that “She didn’t want to be self-aware, she didn’t know what the rest of the room thought of her”, describing her as “so unlikeable”.

Lawrence and Skakel continued to let the jokes fly during the Facebook Live, while also sharing some of the ones that Coulter was uninterested in delivering during the show. Skakel donned a hand puppet affectionately called Coultergeist to reveal some of the quips she passed on, including:

“I have to say, Rob, it’s nice to finally not be the most hated person in the room.”

“Rob Lowe is like America: He hasn’t been great since Reagan was president and unemployment is becoming more and more of a problem for him.”

“Peyton Manning is a model citizen and his forehead is a model for the wall that Trump’s going to put between the U.S. and Mexico.”

“Giving you a roast is the worst decision Comedy Central’s made since they replaced Jon Stewart with a South African child. That’s a Trevor Noah joke, the one immigrant I’m most excited to see deported. Am I white, people? Am I white?”

Better luck next time, Ann?
