Netflix’s new French drama has a headliner. Marseille, a new original series from the streaming service that’s been described as House of Cards-esque, will star Gerard Depardieu, reports Deadline. The two-time César Award-winner (and former grave robber) will play Robert Taro, longtime mayor of the Southern France port city, who finds himself pitted against his former protégé in the upcoming election. Created by Carlos co-writer Dan Franck, the series is set to debut early next year.
