Watch Maya Rudolph’s Killer Rachel Dolezal Impression

While she was on Saturday Night Live, Maya Rudolph brought Beyoncé, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Whitney Houston to life. But her greatest celebrity impression might have just landed in her lap.
Rudolph visited Late Night With Seth Meyers last night and told her former SNL cast mate how everyone she meets has been dying to see her do a Rachel Dolezal impression. Dolezal, of course, is the former NAACP chairman who had to step down and face national embarrassment when it was revealed she was not black, but totally white. The biracial Rudolph explained that the situation with Dolezal is her Sarah Palin moment.

I remember Tina [Fey] saying that, like, when Sarah Palin was happening, everyone kept saying, “You gotta play Sarah Palin.” But it happens to me every day. People are like, “Oh, it’s too bad! You haven’t been on SNL since 2007! Like, you have to play this lady!”

So, the ever-entertaining Ms. Rudolph decided to give the people what they wanted. She used her time on Late Night to debut her killer Rachel Dolezal impression. Between the crazy wig and her tell-tale confusion at being found out in a lie, we have to say that Rudolph nailed it.
